Back to School in Frederick County Maryland

It’s that time of the year again! Our kids go back to school soon and the preparation begins now. Frederick County Schools begin on September 3, 2019. Luckily for you, we have a couple of tips on how to get your kids ready and to start the 2019-2020 school year on the right foot!

School Supplies- Almost every year we have to restock on school supplies for our children. We all have the random drawer of abandoned school supplies at home, start there first to gather the supplies that your children might need for the new year. Stop by local stores that offer back to school specials on supplies. Stores like Office Depot, Staples, and Target offer specials for the entire month of August. To see the list of supplies for your Frederick County Schools click here.

School Clothing- Lets face it! Each year your kids grow out of their old clothes and need ones. All Maryland stores are offering Tax Free items during August 11-17. Restrictions apply on clothing purchases under $100 and backpacks for under $40. This is a great way to stock up on clothing for your kids on a budget! Have them tag along and try on some new outfits to get them motivated for the upcoming school year.

School Lunches- Whether you pack your kids lunches or they eat at school, breakfast is the most important meal of the day! Make sure your kids get a big breakfast before they head to school each morning. On the go? Grab some breakfast bars or some fruit that will give them enough supplement for the morning!

Excited for back to school? Send us pictures of your kids on their big day back to school to be featured on East of Market’s Facebook page!
